We took part in service on St. Anna Mountain during the pilgrimage of minorities. The service was concelebrate by bishop of Opole, Alfons Nossol.

Texans present a gift plaque to a pielgrims and members of parich church in Góra św. Anny - Mount of St. Anna - the most important silesian sanctuary.

We have been visited convent of frathers of San Francesco on the St. Anna Mountain

Saturday was a day off but jouths took part in bicycle trip. This is annual event prepared by "Strzelec Opolskie" newpaper, where I (Texas Agnes) work. We did 33 km long distance, weather was ok and joung Texans got a very condition! :)

During the March 12 Commissioners' Court regular session, Elenora Goodley, Bandera County's ambassador to Strzelce Opolskie, Poland, nominated the following individuals for the Bandera County Distinguished Service Award. The award will be the first international honor presented in Bandera County's history.

"First let me say tthat for the past five years, I have known and worked in Poland and the USA with the three men whose names I am nominating," Goodley said. "I think this is historic."

The nominees are as follows:

Alfred Mrohs - A Polish citizen. Retired Public Servant, but still does volunteer work in Poland and throughout Europe and the USA. International Distinguished Service for over 50 years. He was one of the first official Strzelce Opolskie representatives to visit Texas and Bandera County in August 2004.

He was the coordinator for the Sister City/County agreements between Bandera, City/County, and Strzelce Opolskie City/County, Poland. He was also a Rozmierz, Poland host sponsor for Bandera Goodwill visits in May 2005 and June 2007.

Father Andrzej Kowolik - A Polish citizen, Catholic Priest and public servant in Rozmierz, Poland. Twenty three years of International Distinguished service in Poland and throughout Europe and the USA. He was one of the first official Strzelce Opolskie representatives to visit Texas and Bandera County in August 2004. He was a co-sponsor for May 2005 Sister Church Agreement Proclamation between St. Michael, Rozmierz, Poland Catholic Church and St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bandera. He was a Rozmierz co-sponsor for Bandera goodwill visits to Poland in June 2007. Has scheduled a special dedication for the Bells for St. Michael Catholic for the Bandera County May/June Visit 2009.

Strzelce Opolskie Council Chairman and Mayor Krsysztof Fabianowski - A Polish Citizen. International Distinguished Service for over 40 years in and throughout Europe. He was a co-sponsor of the sister City/County/Proclamation between Strzelce Opolskie, Poland and Bandera County. He worked with the Strzelce Opolskie County Council to get approval and funding for the exchange programs for the Strzelce Opolskie schools and the Bandera County School District schools.

He was a co-sponsor for Bandera goodwill visit in June 2007. He also arranged housing, food and transportation for Bandera County goodwill visits.
